Journey On gives 10% of our net profits in several rad ways:
1. Goes to two different non-profits in Bali:
A. 5% goes to the Bali Street Mums Project. They empower impoverished mothers with skill based training so they can create micro business opportunities. This allows for them to have a steady income flow, to support themselves and their children. And while the mother's work on their businesses, the center provides care and education for their children.
B. 3% goes to the Jodi O Shea Orphan Home. A home built in loving memory of Jodie O Shea who tragically died as a result of the Bali bombing in 2002. They have 94 children in their care, the youngest being Rizzone who is 20 months old.
2. Goes to one non-profit in Los Angeles:
A. 2% goes to the non-profit, Maryvale. Through its many programs, Maryvale heals, empowers and educates children and families in order to instill hope for a more fulfilling future. They do this by providing residential, educational, mental health and community-based services in an environment of dignity, love and respect.
3. We're only getting started. Some of our future goals:
A. We want to increase these percentages and give back to orphan homes and similar non-profits around the world that care, educate, and empower women and their children.
B. We want to pay our manufacturers bonuses and treat them to massages for the laborious work that they do. We are currently working out
an efficient plan and timeline for implementing these initiatives.
C. We strive to set up an education fund for our manufacturers to help give them and their families access to a good education.
D. We strive to be a Certified Fair Trade corporation.
E. We strive to be a Certified B Corporation.
